Background

Public and written notice has been provided as required by City Charter. A petition dated August 11, 2017, was submitted to the City by Mark J. Manderfeld, A&G Business Services, LLC, representing Joyce B. Gabrelcik requesting vacation of drainage and utility easement.  The property has been sold to Kwik Trip, Inc. who wishes to redevelop it and has applied to rezone the property and plat it with new drainage and utility easements.  The applicants represent 100% of the affected property abutting this easement.  The Engineering Department has reviewed this request and concurs with the vacation.

By motion, approve the Resolution.

WHEREAS, the City Council has received a petition dated the 11^th day of August, 2017, requesting vacation of drainage and utility easement at the Northwest Corner of Radisson Road and 105^th Avenue (10500 Radisson Road); and

WHEREAS, the required public hearing notices were published and mailed, and the public hearing was held on the 19^th day of October 2017, at which time all persons desiring to be heard were given an opportunity to be heard.

                     NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Blaine as follows:

1.                     The vacation of drainage and utility easement in the Northwest Corner of Radisson Road and 105^th Avenue (10500 Radisson Road) is hereby approved as described:

Drainage and utility easements dedicated with Document No. 966370 as recorded in Anoka County, Minnesota.

PASSED by the City Council of the City of Blaine this 19^th day of October, 2017.
