RECEIVE PETITION AND ORDER PUBLIC HEARING FOR VACATION OF DRAINAGE AND UTILITY EASEMENT AT THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF RADISSON ROAD AND 105TH AVENUE (10500 RADISSON ROAD), VACATION NO. V17-04

 

Background

A petition dated August 11, 2017, was submitted to the City by Mark Manderfeld of A & G Business Services, LLC, representing Joyce Gabrelcik, requesting vacation of drainage and utility easement.  The property has been sold to Kwik Trip, Inc. who wishes to redevelop it and has applied to rezone the property and plat it with new drainage and utility easements.  The applicants represent 100% of the affected property abutting this easement.

Recommendation

By motion, adopt the Resolution.

 

Body

WHEREAS, the City Council has received a petition dated the 11th day of August 2017, requesting vacation of drainage and utility easement at the Northwest corner of Radisson Road and 105th Avenue (10500 Radisson Road); and

 

                     WHEREAS, the Engineering Department has reviewed the petition and recommends that the City Council hold a Public Hearing on the requested vacation.

 

                     NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Blaine as follows:

 

1.                     The Council will consider the petitioned vacation of easements for the property owner.

 

2.                     A Public Hearing shall be held on the proposed vacation at 7:30 PM on the 19th day of October, 2017 and the City Clerk shall give mailed and published notice of such hearing and vacation as required by law.
