Approve New Vending Truck License for Ahmed Alobaidi of Ali Ice Cream
Executive Summary
Council is asked to approve a new vending truck license. This license will allow the applicant to sell ice cream or similar treats from a mobile vending truck on city streets.
Background
Ahmed Alobaidi of Ali Ice Cream submitted an online application for a vending truck license. All required documents have been submitted, including a certificate of insurance and the retail mobile food handler license through the Minnesota Department of Agriculture.
The Blaine Police Department is conducting a background investigation for Mr. Alobaidi. The issuance of the license is contingent upon successful background. If approved, the vending license will be effective through April 30, 2022.
