Executive Summary
The City received a petition dated January 11, 2022 from Tracey Rust, PE of Twin Cities Land Development representing MN Landco/AREP Lexington Waters, LP, requesting the vacation of Highway Easement per Document No. 515714.
Background
The easement was originally acquired by the City of Blaine in 1978. The easement is no longer needed as the area will be replatted as Lexington Waters subdivision. Engineering staff has reviewed the request and is in agreement with the vacation.

WHEREAS, the City Council has received a petition dated the 11th day of January, 2022, requesting vacation of Highway Easement per Document No. 515714; and
WHEREAS, the Engineering Department has reviewed the petition and recommends that the City Council hold a Public Hearing on the requested vacation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Blaine as follows:
1. The Council will consider the petitioned vacation of easements for the property owner.
2. A Public Hearing shall be held on the proposed vacation at 7:30 PM on the 7th day of March, 2022 and the City Clerk shall give mailed and published notice of such hearing and vacation as required by law.
