Executive Summary
Council is requested to formally accept donations made in the fourth quarter.
Background
The police department has received donations from members of the community as well as local businesses. The list of donors, amounts, and intended purpose are attached.
The police department would like to recognize a very significant donation from Grace Schrunk in the amount of $15,000, for our K9 program. Grace is a long time resident of Blaine and has had several canines who have touched her deeply throughout her life. Grace will be in attendance to be acknowledged for her donation.

WHEREAS, the City of Blaine is generally authorized to accept donations of real and personal property pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Section 465.03 et seq. for the benefit of its citizens, and is specifically authorized to accept gifts.
WHEREAS, the persons and entities on the attached report have made contributions as shown in the report; and
WHEREAS, the terms and conditions of the donations, if any, are also listed in the report; and
WHEREAS, all donations have been contributed to the city for the benefit of its citizens, as allowed by law; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it is appropriate to accept the donations offered;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Blaine City Council accepts the fourth quarter 2021 donations.
