Approve 2022 Annual Business License Renewals
Executive Summary
Council is asked to approve the 2022 business license renewals. These licenses will allow establishments to sell tobacco products and provide services by license holders.
Background
Staff has received the following 2022 license renewals as outlined on the attached list of Blaine businesses. The following licenses are eligible for renewable on January 1, 2022:
- Amusement Centers
- Garbage Haulers
- Massage Enterprise
- Massage Individual (approved administratively)
- Pawnbroker
- Tobacco
All City Code requirements have been met. Renewal fees will be paid and background checks completed prior to issuance of any license. The City Council has the authority to approve or deny any of these licenses for reasons outlined in City Code. There are some renewals still outstanding and will be included on the December 20 Council agenda for consideration.
