Executive Summary
A ceremony will be held to welcome five new officers and their families to the Blaine Police Department family. In addition, three current Blaine Police Department sworn staff who received promotions, will be recognized.
Background
When new officers successfully complete the Field Training Program and are currently on solo patrol, a swearing in ceremony is performed in front of the City Council. Additionally, when sworn staff receive a promotion to a new position within the police department, they receive a swearing in ceremony in front of the City Council.
This is a special time for new officers and current sworn staff and their families to celebrate their accomplishments and be recognized in front of the City Mayor, City Councilmembers, City Manager, Chief Podany and the Command Staff.
The following new officers will be participating in the ceremony and take their Oath of Office:
