Executive Summary
Council is asked to approve the tobacco license. This license will allow the applicant to sell tobacco and tobacco related products.
Background
Supervalu, Inc has submitted an application for a tobacco and tobacco products license for Cub Wine and Spirits located at 4255 Pheasant Ridge Drive NE #310. The applicant has met the licensing requirements by completing all necessary forms and paying associated fees. Cub currently holds a tobacco license at each of their four grocery stores.
The Blaine Police Department is in the process of conducting a background on Supervalu Corporate Officer Kimberly Myrdahl; issuance of the license is contingent upon successful background and the Certificate of Occupancy Walk-Through permit by the Building Inspections Department. If approved, the tobacco license will be effective through December 31, 2021.
