Background
The property was originally acquired via condemnation from an adjacent property by the City as a remnant associated with the Ulysses Street project. The applicants represent a majority of the affected property abutting this easement. Engineering staff has reviewed the request and is in agreement with the vacation.

WHEREAS, the City Council has received a petition dated the 18th day of February, 2021, requesting vacation of right-of-way on Parcel 9D, City of Blaine Highway Right-of-Way Plat No. 3, Johnson Street NE Right-of-Way as Platted in Nauman Acres; and
WHEREAS, the required public hearing notices were published and mailed, and the public hearing was held on the 5th day of April, 2021, at which time all persons desiring to be heard were given an opportunity to be heard.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Blaine as follows:
1. The vacation of right-of-way on Parcel 9D, City of Blaine Highway Right-of-Way Plat No. 3, Johnson Street NE Right-of-Way as Platted in Nauman Acres as recorded in Anoka County, Minnesota, is hereby approved.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Blaine this 5th day of April, 2021.
