WINTER RETREAT - 2022 BUDGET AND TAX LEVY PLANNING
Background
Following up on a process first implemented last year, Council will devote a generous portion of the Winter Retreat to discussions on development of the 2022 tax levy and General Fund budget. The retreat discussion will focus on the following:
1. Preliminary 2020 General Fund Financial Summary;
2. Development of the 2022 Tax Levy
a. 2022 Levy philosophy
b. How the Strategic Priorities Fund relates to the levy
3. Budgeting for 2022 Strategic Initiatives
Recommendation
Staff will present information on the above topics for Council discussion and guidance on next steps in the budget process.
