NRCB 2021 Goals
o Continue to focus on plans for development of the Blaine Wetland Sanctuary [BWS].
o Building Structure
o Purchase & Installation of Entrance Sign
o Concept plan for trails connections throughout the site
o Interpretive Signage Sponsorships
o Expand programming
o Partnership with schools
o Continue to utilize the Open Space Management
o Design and construction of trail at Sunrise Ponds
o Focus on water resource issues as they relate to city open spaces
o Continue to explore ideas for enhancing public awareness & use of our open spaces & trails.
o Partner with local businesses
o Open Space Tour and Community Dialogue
o Continue Main Street Mitigation (Portion of Pioneer Park) Wetland Bank process
o Sell credits in Northern Portion (Site 7)
o Work with Anoka Conservation District or other agencies to collect threatened and endangered plant species to be replanted in open spaces
