FACILITY RENAMING IN RECOGNITION OF MAYOR RYAN AND COUNCILMEMBER SWANSON
Background
Mayor Tom Ryan served the City of Blaine as Councilmember from 1987 - 1996 and as Mayor from 1997 to date. Councilmember Swanson has served the City as Ward 1 Councilmember since 1994. In recognition of the many years of service and great leadership both Mayor Ryan and Councilmember Swanson have given the City the Park Board is recommending renaming Town Square Park to Tom Ryan Park and Aquatore Dog Park to Swanson Dog Park.
Recommendation
By motion, accept the renaming of Town Square Park to Tom Ryan Park and the renaming of Aquatore Dog Park to Swanson Dog Park.
