VACATION OF DRAINAGE AND UTILITY EASEMENTS ON THE WEST ONE-HALF OF LOT 19 AND THE EAST ONE-HALF OF LOT 20, CENTRAL AVENUE ACRES, VACATION NO. V20-06

 

Background

A petition, dated July 31, 2020, was submitted to the city by Cory Lepper on behalf of Vine Hill Partners, requesting the vacation of drainage and utility easements on the west one-half of Lot 19 and the east one-half of Lot 20, Central Avenue Acres.  The vacation is necessary as the property is being re-platted as Alexander Woods.  The Engineering Department has reviewed this request and concurs with the vacation.

Recommendation

By motion, adopt the Resolution.

 

Body

WHEREAS, the City Council has received a petition dated the 31st day of July, 2020, requesting vacation of drainage and utility easements in Central Avenue Acres; and

 

                     WHEREAS, the required public hearing notices were published and mailed, and the public hearing was held on the 21st day of September, 2020, at which time all persons desiring to be heard were given an opportunity to be heard.

 

                     NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Blaine as follows:

 

1.                     The vacation of easements is hereby approved as described:

 

The west one-half (W ½) of Lot Nineteen (19) and the east one-half (E ½) of Lot Twenty (20), CENTRAL AVENUE ACRES, according to the plat thereof on file in the office of the Registrar of Titles, Anoka County, Minnesota
