APPROVAL OF 2020-2021 VENDING TRUCK LICENSES
Background
The following individuals have submitted applications for vending truck licenses:
Rosa Chunchi LLC Faisal Ice Cream
Rosa Chunchi Pintado Faisal Kazar, Owner/Operator
4550 Central Avenue 1761 129th Avenue NE
Hilltop, MN 55421 Blaine, MN 55449
Faisal Kazar has submitted the required $100 fee and all application materials, liability insurance and his retail mobile food handler’s license through the Minnesota Department of Agriculture to operate one vending truck within the City.
Rosa Chunchi Pintado has submitted the required $100 fee, application materials and proof of insurance. The retail mobile food handler’s license through the Minnesota Department of Agriculture is pending. Her license will be issued once the Department of Agriculture license has been submitted to the clerk’s office.
The Blaine Police Department has completed a background investigation for both vending truck applicants and found nothing to prohibit the issuance of these licenses. The vending licenses shall be effective May 1, 2020 through April 30, 2021.
At this time, per Anoka County Environmental Services, vending trucks are allowed to operate when the Governor’s Stay at Home Order has been lifted provided operators maintain proper social distancing guidelines.
Recommendation
By motion, approve the 2020-2021 temporary vending truck licenses.
