RECEIVE PETITION AND ORDER PUBLIC HEARING FOR VACATION OF DRAINAGE AND UTILITY EASEMENTS ON OUTLOT E AND OUTLOT G, GLENN MEADOWS VACATION NO. V20-02

 

Background

The City received a petition dated March 13, 2020 from Todd Kaufman of North Meadows LLC, requesting the vacation of drainage and utility easements on Outlot E and Outlot G, Glenn Meadows.  The vacation is necessary as the property is being re-platted as North Meadows and the easements are no longer needed.  The applicants represent 100% of the affected property abutting these easements.

Recommendation

By motion, adopt the Resolution.

 

Body

WHEREAS, the City Council has received a petition dated the 13th day of March 2020, requesting vacation of drainage and utility easements in Glenn Meadows; and

 

                     WHEREAS, the Engineering Department has reviewed the petition and recommends that the City Council hold a Public Hearing on the requested vacation.

 

                     NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Blaine as follows:

 

1.                     The Council will consider the petitioned vacation of easements for the property owner.

 

2.                     A Public Hearing shall be held on the proposed vacation at 7:30 PM on the 4th day of May, 2020 and the City Clerk shall give mailed and published notice of such hearing and vacation as required by law.
