Title
ZONING ORDINANCE AMENDMENTS (PERFORMANCE STANDARDS AND SIGNS)
Background
This is the third opportunity for staff to provide information on the proposed zoning ordinance changes. Staff will discuss the changes proposed for performance standards and signs.
Again, the presentation will highlight major changes being proposed to these ordinances. An overall redline version of the proposed changes is provided in your packets.
Some of the items that will be discussed include:
• Changes to the home occupation ordinance
• Changes to parking requirements
• New method to deal with donation drop off boxes
• Signage clarifications
The planning commission has been formally invited to attend all city council workshop sessions when zoning code amendments will be discussed. They will be updated on the current workshop schedule as this review progresses.
The city attorney has also been provided with a copy of the proposed changes.
Staff will provide a more thorough explanation of the changes at the meeting via presentation.
Recommendation
Review the proposed changes to Performance Standards and Signs of the Zoning Ordinance and provide feedback to staff on said changes.
