AUTHORIZE TEMPORARY REMOVAL OF PARKING RESTRICTIONS ON 91ST AVENUE TO ACCOMMODATE FERGUSON WATERWORKS ACADEMY TRAINING ON JANUARY 14-16, 2020

Background

The City has received an e-mail from Ferguson Waterworks, requesting temporary removal of parking restrictions on 91^st Avenue between Eldorado Street and Isanti Street in order to allow parking on this street January 14-16, 2020.  Ferguson Waterworks is hosting a Training Academy to educate their customers on new water equipment and technology and are expecting to host 60 to 70 persons at their facility.

Staff recommends authorization for the temporary parking on both sides of 91^st Avenue between Eldorado Street and Isanti Street as indicated on the attached map.

City Council authorization is required for the temporary lifting of parking restrictions.  City Council has previously authorized similar temporary lifting of parking restrictions for other businesses in the area.

Recommendation

By motion, authorize the temporary removal of parking restrictions on both sides of 91^st Avenue between Eldorado and Isanti Streets, from 8:00am to 7:00pm, January 14 - 16, 2020.
