Background

A petition received June 7, 2019, was submitted to the City by Dustin Fiecke, requesting vacation of drainage and utility easements for the purposes of locating a shed in the rear year after the area was reclassified from wetland to upland.  The Engineering Department has reviewed this request and concurs with the vacation.

By motion, adopt the Resolution.

WHEREAS, the City Council has received a petition dated the 7th day of June, 2019, requesting vacation of drainage and utility easement of Lot 7, Block 4, Coopers Meadow; and

                     WHEREAS, the required public hearing notices were published and mailed, and the public hearing was held on the 5th day of August, 2019, at which time all persons desiring to be heard were given an opportunity to be heard.

                     NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Blaine as follows:

1.                     The vacation of drainage and utility easement at Lot 7, Block 4, Coopers Meadow, as recorded in Anoka County, Minnesota, is hereby approved as described:

An easement area over, under and across that part of said Lot 7 described as

That part of the drainage and utility easement originally dedicated on Lot 7, Block 4, COOPERS MEADOW, Anoka County, Minnesota, which lies southerly of the following described line: Commencing at the southeast corner of said Lot 7, Block 4, COOPERS MEADOW; thence on an assumed bearing of North 13 degrees 51 minutes 59 seconds East along the east line of said Lot 7 a distance of 40.54 feet to the point of beginning of the line being described; thence North 56 degrees 06 minutes 56 seconds West a distance of 95.72 feet to the west line of said Lot 7 and there terminating.  Except the west 5 feet, east 5 feet, and the south 10 feet thereof.
