APPROVE A TEMPORARY 3.2 PERCENT MALT LIQUOR LICENSE FOR CHURCH OF ST. TIMOTHY’S CARNIVAL, 707 - 89^TH AVENUE NE

Background

Cathleen Sullivan, applicant for St. Timothy’s Catholic Church, has filed an application for a Temporary 3.2 Percent Malt Liquor License for St. Timothy’s annual carnival to be held at 707 - 89^th Avenue NE September 6 to September 8, 2019 from 12:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

The applicant has deposited with the City a $50 license fee and a certificate of insurance (liquor liability) covering this event.  The City has been named as an additional insured on the certificate of insurance.

The church will be having inflatables only this year instead of mechanical carnival rides so no carnival license is required.  They expect approximately 3,000 people to attend the event.

Recommendation

By motion, approve a Temporary 3.2 Percent Malt Liquor License for St. Timothy’s carnival, 707 - 89^th Avenue NE, to be held September 6 to September 8, 2019 from 12:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
