REVIEW PROPOSED PARKING RESTRICTIONS ON 99TH AVENUE NE FROM LEXINGTON AVENUE TO CORD STREET

Background

The city received a petition on May 2, 2019, requesting that “no parking” restrictions be placed on 99th Avenue from Cord Street to Lexington Avenue. Typically, staff asks that a minimum of 75% of the property owners along the proposed restriction area be on the petition. In this case none of the effected property owners are on the submitted petition, see attached map. Engineering and Police Department staffs have reviewed the on-street parking on several occasions and there does not appear to be an issue. The streets in this neighborhood are designed to allow for on street parking and still allow for two-way traffic. Staff has invited the property owners to the commission to allow them the opportunity to voice their opinion of the “No Parking” petition.
