Background

The City received a petition dated June 14, 2019 from Troy Halverson, requesting the vacation of drainage and utility easements on Lots 7 and 8, Block 2, The Sanctuary 8^th Addition.  The parcel is a part of a lot split and the easements have been relocated.  The applicant represents a 100% of the affected property abutting this easement.

Recommendation

By motion, adopt the Resolution.

Body

WHEREAS, the City Council has received a petition dated the 14^th day of June 2019, requesting vacation of drainage and utility easement of Lots 7 & 8, Block 2, The Sanctuary 8^th Addition; and

                     WHEREAS, the Engineering Department has reviewed the petition and recommends that the City Council hold a Public Hearing on the requested vacation.

                     NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Blaine as follows:

1.                     The Council will consider the petitioned vacation of easements for the property owner.

2.                     A Public Hearing shall be held on the proposed vacation at 7:30 PM on the 5^th day of August, 2019 and the City Clerk shall give mailed and published notice of such hearing and vacation as required by law.
