Title

ACCEPTING THE PROPOSAL FOR REPLACEMENT PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT IN THE AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $100,000 FROM MN/WIS PLAYGROUND FOR QUAIL CREEK PARK

Background

Quail Creek Park playground equipment is 20 years old and is in need of replacement.  The cost of the playground with installation, concrete curbing, and wood fibar (engineered wood fiber) will be $100,000.  Funding for the Quail Creek Park playground comes from the 2019 Parks and Trails tax levy fund and budget that the Council approved on December 20, 2019.

Proposals were submitted by four different playground vendors who were all given the same parameters which included playground equipment, wood fibar, concrete curbing, and installation with a budget of $100,000.

The Park Board has reviewed the proposed plan and is recommending it to the City Council.

Recommendation

By motion, accept the proposal for replacement playground equipment in the amount not to exceed $100,000 from MN/WIS Playground for Quail Creek Park.
