REVIEW OF 2019 GOALS
Background
At the January meeting, the NRCB Boardmembers identified goals for 2019. Staff has updated the list of goals, including dates of events. At this time, the NRCB is encouraged to review their goals, adding and deleting as necessary.
o Continue to focus on plans for development of the Blaine Wetland Sanctuary [BWS].
o Continue to utilize the Open Space Management Plan for guidance and setting priorities.
o Continue to explore ideas for enhancing public awareness & use of our open spaces & trails.
o Continue programming with Growing Green Hearts (GGH) & Wargo Nature Center at Blaine Wetland Sanctuary (BWS)
o Begin Southern restoration work of the BWS
o Partner with local businesses
o Purchase and install entrance sign for BWS and Interpretive signs
o Open Space Tour and Community Dialogue
o Continue Pioneer Park Wetland Bank process
o Sell credits in Site 7
o Work with Anoka Conservation District or other to collect seeds to be replanted in open spaces

o Establish a Bluebird Trail
o Plant trees/shrubs in a public area
o Create a game for hiking a trail or open space - Open Space Passport promotion
