VACATION OF EASEMENTS AS DESCRIBED IN DOCUMENT NO.’S 224530 AND 537686.006 FOR MEADOW PLACE, VACATION NO. V18-08

 

Background

A petition received August 23, 2018, was submitted to the City by Ed Dropps, representing Accent Homes, Inc., requesting vacation of easements to allow for the subdividing of the property into the plat of Meadow Place.  The easement will be replaced in the new plat.  The Engineering Department has reviewed this request and concurs with the vacation.

Recommendation

By motion, adopt the Resolution.

 

Body

WHEREAS, the City Council has received a petition dated the 23rd day of August 2018, requesting vacation of a permanent street, drainage and utility easement as described in Document No. 224530; together with a perpetual drainage and utility easement as described in Document No. 537686.006, both as recorded in Anoka County, Minnesota; and

 

                     WHEREAS, the required public hearing notices were published and mailed, and the public hearing was held on the 4th day of October, 2018, at which time all persons desiring to be heard were given an opportunity to be heard.

 

                     NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Blaine as follows:

 

1.                     The vacation of easements is hereby approved as described:

 

                     That part of the permanent street, drainage and utility easements as described in Document No. 224530, together with a perpetual drainage and utility easement as described in Document No. 537686.006, both as recorded in Anoka County, Minnesota
