RECEIVE PETITION AND ORDER PUBLIC HEARING FOR VACATION OF EASEMENTS FOR ROAD PURPOSES AS DESCRIBED IN EXHIBIT A, VACATION NO. V18-09

 

Background

A petition received September 7, 2018, was submitted to the City by Joshua Metzer, representing Lennar Family of Builders, requesting vacation of easements to allow for the subdividing of the property into the plat of Wicklow Woods.  The easement will be replaced in the new plat.  The applicant represents a majority of the affected property abutting this easement.

Recommendation

By motion, adopt the Resolution.

 

Body

WHEREAS, the City Council has received a petition dated the 7th day of September 2018, requesting vacation of a permanent easements for road purposes as described in Exhibit A; as recorded in Anoka County, Minnesota; and

 

                     WHEREAS, the Engineering Department has reviewed the petition and recommends that the City Council hold a Public Hearing on the requested vacation.

 

                     NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Blaine as follows:

 

1.                     The Council will consider the petitioned vacation of easements for the property owner.

 

2.                     A Public Hearing shall be held on the proposed vacation at 7:30 PM on the 18th day of October, 2018 and the City Clerk shall give mailed and published notice of such hearing and vacation as required by law.
