DOCUMENTS 224530 AND 537686.006, VACATION NO. V18-06

 

Background

A petition received August 23, 2018, was submitted to the City by Edwin Dropps, representing Accent Homes, Inc., requesting vacation of easements to allow for the subdividing of the property into the plat of Meadow Place.  The easement will be replaced in the new plat.  The applicant represents a majority of the affected property abutting this easement.

Recommendation

By motion, adopt the Resolution.

 

Body

WHEREAS, the City Council has received a petition dated the 23rd day of August 2018, requesting vacation of a permanent street, drainage and utility easement as described in Document No. 224530; together with a perpetual drainage and utility easement as described in Document No. 537686.006, both as recorded in Anoka County, Minnesota; and

 

                     WHEREAS, the Engineering Department has reviewed the petition and recommends that the City Council hold a Public Hearing on the requested vacation.

 

                     NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Blaine as follows:

 

1.                     The Council will consider the petitioned vacation of easements for the property owner.

 

2.                     A Public Hearing shall be held on the proposed vacation at 7:30 PM on the 4th day of October, 2018 and the City Clerk shall give mailed and published notice of such hearing and vacation as required by law.
