EMERGENCY MANAGER/EVENTS COORDINATOR POSITION
Background
Council is being asked to consider a new position for a lieutenant in the Police Department. This position would be the City’s designated emergency manager and also serve as an events coordinator. Due to the many large scale events in Blaine, staff believes a full time employee dedicated to emergency management and event coordinating is necessary.
Chief Podany will present additional information about the position at the meeting.
