AUTHORIZE PAYMENT TO PRO-TEC DESIGN IN THE AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $63,500 FOR DOOR ACCESS CONTROL SYSTEM AT CITY HALL
Background
The current door access control system was installed when city hall was built. It runs off of one single computer and the software is outdated. The company, Pro-Tec Design is on the state contract and has done work for several projects in the city in the past. The new system will be able to run off of a server and individual departments will able to manage their own personnel’s access as opposed to the police department managing everyone in City Hall. The current quoted cost is $59,921.34, however IT may ask for some adjustments to be done as the system is being installed. The City has budgeted $63,500 for this improvement in the Capital Building budget for 2018 and staff is recommending authorizing the door access control system at City Hall in an amount not to exceed the budget of $63,500.

By motion authorize payment in the amount of $59,921.34 to Pro-Tec Design for door access control system at City Hall.
