REVIEW OF 2018 GOALS
Background
The NRCB set 2018 goals at the January meeting. The goals are listed below:
1. Continue to focus on plans for development of the Blaine Wetland Sanctuary.
2. Continue to utilize the open space management plan for guidance & setting priorities.
3. Review the Open Space Management Plan to reflect projects already accomplished and consider updates and maintenance.
4. Continue to explore ideas/activities for enhancing public awareness of the NRCB through environmental education, community involvement, and use of our open spaces and trails.
a. Earth Day Events - April 15-May 15
b. American Wetlands Month - May
c. World Fest - May 19
d. Blaine Festival - June 23 (Saturday only)
e. City Open House - September 26
f. No Child Left Inside - October 10
g. Farmers Market
h. Use of website and social media to promote environmental awareness
5. Each board member is encouraged to choose a project to pursue this year and provide a report.
