EAGLE SCOUT PROJECTS

Background

Larry Sable has contacted staff regarding possible Eagle Scout projects.  One idea that was discussed and can be feasibly accomplished is construction of photo poles at the site.

The purpose of the photo poles is to document the changes to the wetland over time, whether it be time of day, season, or years.  People will be asked to take photos and upload them to the BWS website.

The signs may be constructed out of 4x4 posts and at heights of 2, 4, and 6 feet.  The Eagle Scout would number them and possibly create designs on them using wood burning.  In addition, we would place signs next to them with descriptions of what they are for and how to upload the photos.
We propose that six stations be placed at intervals along the boardwalk.

Recommendation

Open to discussion and ideas for additional Eagle Scout projects.
