RECEIVE PETITION AND ORDER PUBLIC HEARING FOR VACATION OF DRAINAGE AND UTILITY EASEMENT AT LOT 17, BLOCK 11, TPC SECOND ADDITION, VACATION NO. V17-05

 

Background

A petition dated September 15, 2017, was submitted to the City by Susie Johnsen, requesting vacation of a portion of a drainage and utility easement for future installation of a rear yard pool and pool deck.  The applicant represents 100% of the affected property abutting this easement.

Recommendation

By motion, adopt the Resolution.

 

Body

WHEREAS, the City Council has received a petition dated the 15th day of September 2017, requesting vacation of drainage and utility easement at Lot 17, Block 11, TPC Second Addition; and

 

                     WHEREAS, the Engineering Department has reviewed the petition and recommends that the City Council hold a Public Hearing on the requested vacation.

 

                     NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Blaine as follows:

 

1.                     The Council will consider the petitioned vacation of easements for the property owner.

 

2.                     A Public Hearing shall be held on the proposed vacation at 7:30 PM on the 16th day of November, 2017 and the City Clerk shall give mailed and published notice of such hearing and vacation as required by law.

 

PASSED by the City Council of the City of Blaine this 19th day of October, 2017.
