Background

The 105^th Avenue reconstruction project will be required to test various construction materials used for the project and prepare testing results for the project records.  Staff requested and received proposals from two testing firms outlining the testing services required for the 105^th Avenue project and the associated costs.  The most comprehensive proposal was received from Braun Intertec.  Braun Intertec has provided construction materials testing over the past 20 years on various city projects.

Recommendation

By motion, authorize the Mayor and City Manager to enter into contract with Braun Intertec in a not to exceed amount of $61,812 for construction materials testing services on the 105^th Avenue reconstruction project.
