AUTHORIZE PAYMENT TO HD SUPPLY FOR WARRANTY REPLACEMENT RADIOS FOR UTILITY SYSTEM IN THE AMOUNT OF $25,491
Background
When city staff replaces the radios on our water meters we send them back to HD Supply and they replace them with upgraded radios at a prorated cost based on our warranty on the radios. Normally the number of radios replaced at a time is not that great. In this instance it had been a longer time before we sent in old radios and it was a larger number of radios than normal. This caused the price to be above $20,000 and requires separate City Council approval.
Recommendation
By motion authorize payment to HD Supply for warranty replacement radios for Utility System in the amount of $25,491.
