GAME TIME PLAYGROUND GRANT
Background
The City has the opportunity to get some matching grant money for playground equipment through a vendor that is on the State Contract. The grant would pay for one half of the cost of playground equipment, however the playground equipment needs to be ordered by the end of this year. Staff is proposing to utilize this grant to purchase the proposed 2017 playground replacements this year for installation in 2017 to take advantage of this grant program.
Staff will present you with all of the information on the parks that we are looking to replace older equipment that are already in the CIF budget for 2017.
Recommendation
Staff recommends that we accept the grant money for new playground equipment
