APPROVE A SPECIAL EVENTS LICENSE FOR THE KRIS LINDAHL TEAM GREAT PUMPKIN GIVEAWAY LOCATED AT THE NATIONAL SPORTS CENTER, 1700 105TH AVENUE NE
Background
Kris Lindahl, applicant for Kris Lindahl Team, has filed an application for a Special Events License to hold a Great Pumpkin Giveaway at the National Sports Center, 1700 105th Avenue NE on Sunday, October 23, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Mr. Lindahl has deposited with the City a $50 license fee, a $250 deposit fee and a certificate of insurance covering this event. The City has been named as an additional insured on the certificate of insurance. The Special Event license will be issued pending approval and additional paperwork needed.
A background check for Mr. Lindahl has been completed by the Police Department and no problems or complaints are on file.
On Sunday, October 23, 2016 event set up will begin at 8:00 a.m. and tear down will end at 5:00 p.m. The event will be from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. with an outdoor kid’s band, pumpkin giveaway, and a food truck.
Approximately 10,000 people are expected at the event. If additional conditions are required they will be included on the final license document and communicated to the applicant. Staff will also communicate the event through the City’s webpage and social media to help the public know that the event could affect traffic during the event.

By motion, approve a Special Events License for the Kris Lindahl Team Great Pumpkin Giveaway located at the National Sports Center, 1700 105th Avenue NE on Sunday, October 23, 2016.
