ACCEPTING THE PROPOSAL FOR CONCESSION EQUIPMENT AT LEXINGTON ATHLETIC COMPLEX IN THE AMOUNT OF 12,927.63 FROM RAPIDS RESTAURANT EQUIPMENT
Background
Staff sent out a request for quotes for a commercial refrigerator, freezer, ice maker, hot dog roller, pizza oven and warming cabinet to three different companies. Two of the companies quoted us on the exact models that we requested and one company quoted us on a similar product. Of the two that quoted us on what we requested Rapids was the lowest, even beating the US Communities quote.
Rapids Restaurant Equipment - 12,927.63
US Foods - 14,071.31 plus unloading costs
All of the equipment has been approved by the Anoka County Health and Environmental Services Department. The concession stand is scheduled to open this fall.
Recommendation
By motion, accept the quote from Rapids Restaurant Equipment for concession equipment at Lexington Athletic Complex at a cost of $12,927.63.
