APPOINTMENT AND CONFIRMATION TO PARK ADVISORY BOARD IN COUNCIL WARD 1
Background
Jeffrey Bird was appointed Chair-at-Large on February 21, 2013 to fill the vacancy left by the passing of Jerry Walthour. This appointment caused a vacancy in Council Ward 1 for a Park Advisory Board member.
Jeffrey Lester, applicant in Council Ward 1, had expressed interest in serving on the Park Advisory Board. Mr. Lester was interviewed on January 18, 2013 by Mayor Ryan and Councilmembers Swanson and Kolb. Subsequently, Councilmembers Hovland and Swanson reached consensus to appoint Mr. Lester to Council Ward 1.
The item before you tonight is for the Mayoral appointment and confirmation of Mr. Lester to the Park Advisory Board for a one year term to fill Mr. Bird's vacancy.

A motion to appoint and confirm Jeffrey Lester to the Park Advisory Board, Council Ward 1.
