PRIVATE ON-SALE WINE AND 3.2% MALT BEVERAGE LICENSE FOR NEW OWNER OF DIXIE BLUE BAR-B-QUE LLC D/B/A DIXIE BLUE BAR-B-QUE, 2330 CLOUD DRIVE, #101, BLAINE, MINNESOTA.
Background
A public hearing is required by ordinance prior to the approval of an On-Sale Wine and 3.2% Malt Beverage liquor license in the City of Blaine.
Kym Spiralke, new owner/applicant for Dixie Blue Bar-b-que has submitted an application for an On-Sale Wine and 3.2% Malt Beverage license for the facility located at 2330 Cloud Drive, #101, Blaine, Minnesota. The applicant has submitted a completed license application, and the license fee of $1300. The required certificate of insurance for liquor liability and all required forms and documents have been received and are on file in our office.
The Blaine Police Department waived the fee and background investigation because Mr. Spiralke had a background done in 2012 and has been the general manager and responsible party of Dixie Blue since their opening in 2012.
The license application is also being presented at this time for approval.
All required information will be submitted to the State Liquor Control Department upon approval of the license by the Council.
Recommendation
Hold a public hearing to receive input regarding the issuance of an On-Sale Wine and 3.2% Malt Beverage license for the new owner of Dixie Blue Bar-b-que LLC dba Dixie Blue Bar-b-que, 2330 Cloud Drive, #101, Blaine, Minnesota.
