CONSIDER METROPOLITAN AIRPORTS COMMISSION/CITY OF BLAINE TERM SHEET - AIRPORT PARK/FIRE SERVICE

Background

The proposed term sheet addresses several common issues between the Metropolitan Airports Commission (MAC) and the City of Blaine.  Services addressed include Fire Service, resurfacing of Xylite Street, sewer and water maintenance on the Anoka County/Blaine Airport property, a land lease for Airport Park, and the Blaine Soccer Complex.  The term sheet also addresses possible future redevelopment of two MAC owned parcels.  The term sheet is a general agreement and several other documents will need to be amended or drafted.

Recommendation

By motion to adopt the term sheet and direct the City Manager to initiate the projects in the term sheet dated, March 7, 2012.
