Title
ACCEPT PROPOSAL FOR 2020 CITY NEWSLETTER AND RECREATION CONNECTION PRINTING
Background
The city solicited proposals for printing of the 2020 issues of the city newsletter, economic development newsletter, and the park and recreation programming guide.
Four publishing companies submitted a printing proposal.
Nystom Publishing - $75,383.90
Johnson Litho Graphics - $77,180
John Roberts - $90,883
Greenhaven Printing - $95,950.00
In addition to the proposal for 2020, the companies were asked to include renewal terms in their proposal. Nystom Publishing included a renewal term of no increase for 2021 and up to 5 percent increase for 2022.
Funding for the city newsletter and economic development newsletter comes from cable franchise fees received by the city, which are dedicated to communications purposes, and not from the city’s general fund.
Funding for the park and recreation programming guide comes from the park and recreation department budget.
Recommendation
After reviewing quotes staff recommends accepting the proposal including renewal terms from Nystrom Publishing Company.
