Title
APPROVE NEW WORLD SOFTWARE MAINTENANCE AGREEMENT
Background
Council is asked to approve the attached Standard Software Maintenance Agreement from New World Systems Corporation (NWS) for support and maintenance of the City's Financial Management software. The system includes five software applications currently in use by the City: (1) Financial Management; (2) Payroll & Human Resources; (3) Utility Management; (4) Decision Support; and (5) eSuite. The current agreement with NWS expires June 30, 2014. The new agreement would extend coverage for five years through June 30, 2019. Annual cost for the coverage is:
2014 - $55,980
2015 - $58,780
2016 - $61,720
2017 - $64,810
2018 - $68,050
The above figures represent a 3.6% increase in the first year with 5% increases in the succeeding years.
Recommendation
By motion, authorize the City Manager to execute the attached Standard Software Maintenance Agreement with New World Systems.
