Background
A petition dated March 26, 2015 was submitted to the City by Steven Bona of Harper Street Woods, LLC requesting vacation of easement for utility and road purposes for Lot 7, Block 1, Harpers Street Woods 5th Addition, (platted as Outlot B, Harpers Street Woods 2nd Addition and originally dedicated with Document No. 446892).  This vacation is being requested as Harpers Street is being extended and this portion of the right-of-way is no longer needed.  The applicant is a single property owner who represents 100% of the affected property abutting this easement.
 
Recommendation
By motion, adopt the Resolution.
 
Body
WHEREAS, the City Council has received a petition dated the 26th day of March, 2015, requesting vacation of easement for utility and road purposes for Lot 7, Block 1, Harpers Street Woods 5th Addition; and
 
WHEREAS, the Engineering Department has reviewed the petition and recommends that the City Council hold a Public Hearing on the requested vacation.
 
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Blaine as follows:
 
1.      The Council will consider the petitioned vacation of easement for utility and road purposes for the property owner.
 
2.      A Public Hearing shall be held on the proposed vacation at 8:00 p.m. on the 21st day of May, 2015, and the City Clerk shall give mailed and published notice of such hearing and vacation as required by law.
