AUTHORIZE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT FOR AN EXECUTIVE SEARCH FOR THE SAFETY SERVICES MANAGER/POLICE CHIEF POSITION

Background

At the April 20 Council meeting, Council authorized a not-to-exceed amount of $27,500 to retain an executive search firm for the Safety Services Manager/Police Chief position. Ten proposals were received and the City Manager recommends Council accept the SGR proposal of $27,000.

Recommendation

By motion, authorize the Mayor and City Manager to enter into a contract with SGR for an amount not to exceed $27,000.
