APPOINT AND CONFIRM DAVE KNAPP TO THE 2012 PARK ADVISORY BOARD
Background
Dave Knapp, former Park Advisory Board Chair, has applied to fill the temporary vacancy on the Park Advisory Board in Council Ward 1 due to the term expiration of Tom Newland.
Mr. Knapp is aware that due to redistricting, Park Board Member Jeffrey Bird's residence will be in Council Ward 1 effective August 14, 2012.
Mr. Knapp is willing to fill the vacancy on a temporary basis and will resign effective August 14, 2012 so as not to cause an imbalance on the board.
Recommendation
Move to appoint and confirm Dave Knapp's temporary appointment to the Park Advisory Board, Council Ward 1.
