Title
APPROVED 2012 THERAPEUTIC MASSAGE INDIVIDUAL LICENSES
Background
On April 19, 2012 the City Council approved a new ordinance requiring all massage therapists to be licensed. The ordinance became effective May 19, 2012. On June 21, 2012 council approved both enterprise and individual massage licenses. The attached list is additional applications received.
Staff has received applications along with required documentation, a prorated license fee for 2012 and a background investigation fee. The Blaine Police Department has conducted a background investigation on each individual and found nothing to prohibit issuance of these licenses.
These licenses are renewable this fall with an effective date of January 1, 2013 and are effective for a calendar year.

By motion, approve the 2012 Therapeutic Massage Individual licenses
