Title
APPROVE THERAPEUTIC MASSAGE ENTERPRISE LICENSES
Background
On April 19, 2012 the City Council approved the new ordinance requiring all massage therapy enterprises be licensed. The ordinance became effective May 19, 2012.
Attached are Massage Enterprise license applications staff has received along with required documentation, license fee and a background investigation fee. The Blaine Police Department have conducted a background investigation on the enterprises and found nothing to prohibit issuance of their licenses.
This license is renewed in the fall and is effective for the 2013 calendar year.
Recommendation
By motion, approve the 2013 Therapeutic Massage Enterprise licenses.
