Background

As we move forward with the construction of the new Lexington Athletic Complex, money has been set aside in the Parks Capital Improvement Program fund to be used to purchase equipment and site amenities for the playground, shelter, ballfields, and tennis, pickleball and basketball courts. We are using a cooperative purchasing group to purchase this equipment (US Communities).

Recommendation

By motion, authorize the City Manager to enter into contract with Minnesota/Wisconsin Playground to provide athletic and playground equipment and site amenities for the Lexington Athletic Complex in the amount of $200,438.37.
