2020 BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS MAYORAL APPOINTMENTS
Background
Board and Commission appointments process was amended in 2020 by removing the process from City Code and establishing a policy to allow more flexibility with appointments in the future. On January 27 and 28 Council interviewed 23 very qualified applicants and after consideration at the February 10 workshop the Mayor will announce the following appointments:

Christopher Perkins will continue to serve as Chair at Large for 2020. In 2016, Council reduced the number of members from 11 to 10, so no further action is needed. With Board member Villella’s appointment to the Planning Commission, there will only be one member representing Ward 1 as no other candidates applied from Ward 1.
