Title
AUTHORIZE PURCHASE OF FILTER MEDIA IN THE AMOUNT OF $84,717 FOR CITY WATER TREATMENT PLANTS FROM WATER SURPLUS
Background
In 2016 the City initiated a project to change out the filter media in our water treatment plants as the old filter media was reaching the end of its effectiveness. This purchase would finalize the purchase of the rest of the filter media to complete the filter media change out.
The City has budgeted $85,000 in the 2017 Water Fund budget for this project. The purchase would be for $84,717 from Water Surplus the firm that was chosen to provide the filter media for this project.
Recommendation
By motion authorize the purchase of Filter Media from Water Surplus in the amount of $84,717 for our Water Plants.
