APPROVAL OF AQUATORE DOG PARK
Background
Staff has identified a 4.6 acre site for a dog park. The Park Board has reviewed and is recommending the following amenities: fencing, concrete, metal container, 16x16 shelter, security light, heater under shelter, site clean-up and add a woodchip trail. The estimated cost for the above amenities for the dog park would be about $88,000. The funds will come from the CIF interest fund which the City Council has approved currently $200,000/year over the next 3 years 2016-2018.
Staff has toured other city and county dog parks in the metro area to see what amenities other communities have to offer in their dog parks. Staff will present a power point to review the tours and discussions with other park staff.
